Wrapping It Up

Here we are at the end of another year!  It was a short decade ago that we were singing Prince’s “Let’s Party Like It’s 1999″ and wondering if our computers would change dates correctly.  Do you remember where YOU were at midnight on December 31st, 1999?  What have you accomplished over the last ten years?

As we have all faced a tough couple of years, it is with great pride to highlight Midwest’s accomplishments as this decade wraps up.

  • Built a new building and relocated to Pacific, MO in 2003
  • Founder, Rebecca Johnson, retired in 2004
  • Successful transition to second generation owner, Christine Johnson in 2004
  • Signed with Teamsters Local 682 in 2005
  • Certified DBE with the MO Department of Transportation in 2005
  • Certified WBE with the State of MO in 2005
  • Awared first $1 million+ trucking job as a subcontractor on the Clayton Road project in 2006
  • Certified DBE in 3 additional states (MS, AR and IL) in 2007
  • Awarded second $1 million+ trucking job as a subcontractor on the I64 project in 2008
  • Launched a new location in southeast MO in 2009
  • Certified WBE with City of St. Louis / Lambert Airport Authority in 2010
  • Celebrated 30 years in business in 2010
‘Tis the season for reflecting back and “wrapping things up”.  We have gifts to buy, greeting cards to mail, errands to run, parties to attend, “joyful” taxes to pay and the list gets longer with every breath, both personally and professionally.  Take a few minutes to remember YOUR accomplishments on both sides of life.

Midwest sends out ”loads of thanks” for your business this year.  If you need a bigger sleigh to haul your gifts (or snow or salt) give us a call at 636-271-6363.  We look forward to doing business with you in 2011.

Have a very safe and happy holiday season!

"The thing that impresses me with Midwest Hauling are the sound business practices that are being employed. Chris is a keen student of conducting business correctly and as a result she has a good financial system in place, maintains her trucks so they are operational, and she is responsive to customers. When problems occur she fixes them!"
